Considering the Tax Free Zone in New York? Think Carefully

The State of New York is trying to change its image as the poster child for high taxes. Indeed, it is well known internationally that NY corporate taxes are among the highest in the United States. At a first glance, it seems like NY state is trying to change that and reduce taxes for business through its new Tax Free Zones. As one might suspect, a “tax free zone” “ain’t necessarily so”. Businesses have to be extremely fastidious to meet the regulatory requirements to benefit from the tax free exemption. In the end, is it worth it?
